Almost one-fourth through my sophomore year, and after that.. two more years until college. Wow, the days are going by pretty fast. The thought of college kind of scares me. Everyone always tells me that I should go to the mainland for college to challenge myself. It just might be me, but I tend to do the opposite of what people tell me. The very first college I wanted to go to was UNLV, but I changed my mind when my family wanted to come move with me. Now, I want to stay in Hawaii and attend UH because I'd probably be home sick. I'm not sure about what I am going to major in. I'm thinking about either being a nurse/doctor or a teacher, but I'm leaning more towards being a nurse/doctor. If I do go to a college in the mainland, I want to attend one on the west coast in either California, Washington State, or Nevada. After having Ms. Mau come and talk to us during one of our English classes about colleges, I have given a lot of thought into school and my future. As we've learned in English about writing college essays, they look for essays that are interesting, unique and stands out from everyone's essays. So for my college essay, I'm planning on applying everything I've learned in English about writing since freshman year such as the six traits to my writing. I'm going to do my very best to apply personality into my writing for whatever topic I am going to write about.
