- Elpis - Female personification of hope/expectation. She along with the other daimones were trapped inside a jar by Zeus and entrusted to the care of Pandora the first woman. When she in her curiousity released the harmful spirits from the jar, Elpis (Hope) remained behind to comfort mankind. Elpis was depicted as a young woman, usually carrying flowers in her arms.
Elpis represents myself as someone of comfort. One that would comfort others when they need me the most and will re-ensure hope in them.
